Well, he’s back! And he’s no friend of mine. I’m talking about this little plant that causes me so much pain!
Last year he got me three times, the first being in March when I couldn’t see him. I’ve been real lucky this year. Even though I’ve been real careful, maybe I was getting too confident. [...]

Well, the count continues. The rain helped eight of the irises to bloom bringing my total to 21 different irises so far.

I took my daily stroll around the grounds to see how [...]

I will be tagging all of my irises this year. In the past couple of years I’ve tried doing this with a variety of different tags and they all pop out of their location after the ground froze. Dave bought me some nice tags to use this year. The only problem was there were only [...]

Now to the chocolate. Dave’s been wanting to make a chocolate soap. Well, it didn’t take any arm twisting to get me to put together a soap formula involving chocolate.
Yum! It smells like chocolate already, but will smell even better once it’s cured. Now to wait four weeks or not!

Well, the iris beds are gearing up to bloom. Every day I see more of the buds popping out. Again, I am amazed at how fast everything is coming out and how my areas of irises are changing from green spikes to flowers. This area of the main iris bed was replanted two years ago [...]

I continue to get excited about everything blooming here. I stopped by the cherry trees to see how they were doing.
I continued on to the blueberries. Looking good!
The lilac bush has bloomed the best since we’ve been here thanks to a little tlc from hubby.
Then the tulips out front have come alive.
Check out other garden [...]
