Iris update

Yes, I’m still counting them although we’re getting to the end. I have several that are not blooming this year or might bloom in the fall instead including two orange ones. I also have a black one that is budding but I’ve been waiting for several days and it still hasn’t opened up. So here is the count as it continues so far.

#31 Bright Yellow

#31 is one I’ve never seen before. She is so big!

#32 Ruffled light purple

#32 is a ruffled light purple iris with purple beards, standing 20 inches.

#33 Miniature Old Fashion

I call #33 a Miniature Old Fashion because it’s just like the #3 Old Fashion, but much smaller blooms and short.

#34 light peach

#34 has peach falls, light peach standards and orange beards. She’s another tall one at 30 inches.

#35 After The Dawn

#35 is another one I purchased a couple years ago. She’s called After The Dawn.

#36 very light lavender

#36 has almost translucent lavender falls and standards with yellow beards and 38 inches tall.

#37 purple and yellow

And this is a beauty my master gardener friend Barbara gave me last year.

I’ve been busy tagging them and moving them around. Just a few more to go and my counting will be over this year.

Thank you all for following along with me. It’s helped me to document them this year. For the last two years I start out real good marking them, but then I get overwhelmed with all of them and the duplicates. Writing the blog helped me to keep my focus on completing this task.
