Linda, It's funny that you mentioned orris root. Hubby and I were talking about it last night. I didn't realize orris root came from irises until our discussion. And I bought Germanica Spinoff last year. I, too, have traded quite a few over the past couple of years and then given some to the plant sales in May. Glad to have you join me on my count!

When I first started gardening, I started with a border of iris along a stone wall. I learned how to divide and replant with them and found trading iris with friends was a great way to get new plants. I have some orris root (Iris germanica) in my little herb store garden which needs dividing soon. At home, I don't have a lot of sun so am having trouble with the iris and so keep moving them hoping I will find a happy spot for them. Will be fun to see what your count is this year!

Kristina, I knew very little about irises until we moved here in 07. I could never get any to grow at my other homes which had very little sun. It's been fun learning about this flower that my grandma loved! Yeah, Sidd is a character and a momma's boy. I'll keep your comment from him though. He already think he's hot stuff!
